All user preferences and accessibility settings are stored locally on your device using Chrome built-in storage. This data never leaves your browser.
Equols does not track browsing history, collect analytics, or share data with third parties.
When using word tooltips, individual words are sent to the free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev) to retrieve definitions. No personal information is included.
When using AI summarisation, webpage text is sent to the Anthropic API to generate a summary only. No identifying information is included and no data is stored.
